Noted railway historian Richard Overton produced this comprehensive history of the Fort Worth & Denver and Colorado & Southern between 1861 and 1898. This is a study in business history in 410 pages, indexed and all sources are identified. Published by the University of Texas in 1953, this book has a torn paper jacket with lots of edge wear but the rest of the book is in very good condition. Don’t expect a lot of photos – this is a genuine history with lots of business and operational details.

Railroad, cityscape and landscape images between 1900 and 1920 in Colorado are offered in this 264 page and 300 photographs hardbound book. Railway images included are of the Colorado & Southern, Switzerland Trail, Florence & Cripple Creek and the Moffat Road and includes Denver tramways. The book is in like-new condition with a plastic sleeve over the paper jacket.

The Colorado Road by Hol Wagner, Jr. (W 9)

This is the history, motive power and equipment of the Colorado & Southern and Fort Worth & Denver Railways in 400 pages with 650 photos with many maps, equipment plans, diagrams and timetables with four color reproductions of paintings by Fogg, Kuhler, Jensen and McLaughlin. Associated shortlines are also included. Published by the Intermountain Chapter of the NRHS in 1970, this signed copy in in very fine used condition. The dust jacket has some scuffing and minor tears.

Narrow Gauge to Central and Silver Plume: Colorado Rail Annual #10 (W 11)

Begun 1n 1872, the Clear Creek eventually morphed into the Colorado & Southern and is described in 223 indexed pages with full text, many maps and rosters. Published by the Coloado Rail Museum in 1972, this book is in good used condition with a dust jacket that has scuffs, tears and abrasions.
