]]> This is the 2009 2nd printing of this popular book 212 page book has both 20 color and over 200 B&W images, an index, and three appendices. The N&W built 43 of these powerful 2-6-6-2 locomotives between 1936 and 1950 in their Roanoke shops. Test results and compariosns with other locomotives are included. The book is in like-new condition with a paper jacket which has some edge wear.

A splendid, scholarly examination of a major US railroad. With black and white photo section and maps. 380 pages with index.

The book is in Good condition.  There are no marks, writings or tears, the binding is strong.  The dust cover has some minor tears along the top and side, plus minor shelf wear.

]]> The large format softbound 144 page B&W book pays tribute and celebrates O. Winston Link’s photography of steam locomotives on the Norfolk & Western between 1955 and 1960. All of the images are night shots carefully composed and lit using a complex array of flash bulbs and other lighting. Published in 1994 by Harry Abrams, this book is in fine used condition.
