The author was a locomotive engineer for the Southern Pacific on the Portland Division. The book provides a look at locomotives used in the 19th century throughout America and has very detailed captions to describe each one. Published in 1965 by Superior Publishing, this book is in good used condition. The paper jacket has a 7″ tear on the front.
