Author Lewis makes the Reading Company’s bankruptcy interesting, engaging, and very human. The Reading was  a compact anthracite railroad operating in Pennsylvania and New Jersey went bankrupt in 1971. This story describes the events that eventually settled the debts and obligations of this once powerful American industrial giant. Published by the Indiana University Press in 2015. The book is in like-new condtion with a paper jacket.
