The author has produced the history of the Illinois Central’s development of services and land along the Chicago lake front with 144 B&W pages, maps, diagrams and captioned images from 1853 until 1985. Published by Transport History Press in 1986, this book is in like new condition with a plastic sleeve over the paper jacket.
