The Union Pacific fielded forty-five 4-8-4 locomotives for dual service starting with a preliminary sketch in 1936 and by 1937 the first specimens were rolling with a design speed of 90 MPH. Kratville records the development and operation of these famous locomotives one of which remains in service today on the Union Pacific. Published by Kratville Publications in 1967, this 136 page book is in good used condition.
